Il y avait hier une année exactement, c’était le 24 octobre 2011, que j’étais chez toi à Yverdon et que j’ai fait l’acquisition d’un AlpFlyingHorn! Je profite de cet anniversaire pour te faire part de ma satisfaction. J’ai toujours beaucoup de plaisir à souffler dans cet instrument, dont la sonorité étonne les connaisseurs les plus avertis.
Encore un grand merci pour ton chaleureux accueil, tous les conseils prodigués, et bravo pour ce cor génial!

Hello Zaneth,
I thought you might like to know that we had a very unusual Christmas. I got a message on my alphorn website asking if I’d play on Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve and for sunrise on New Year’s Day at the top of a mountain for the government of Taiwan. Assuming it was a joke I didn’t bother to respond, till Martin said why don’t I just write back and see. Well it was real. They asked if I was a group, so he asked me if he might be able to come too. I said it would probably have to be on the accordion then, so he bought one and taught himself to play a few chords on it! They flew us out on 20th Dec and we got back on Monday night. A Christmas to remember! I cannot believe the way the alphorn has changed my life since I got it 6 years ago. Vous vous rappellez peut-être qu’un Autrichien d’environ 60 ans a acheté un cor de vous au début de cette année. Le nom, c’était Herbert Gielesberger.
En tout cas, j’ai emmené votre cor sur le sommet du Everest le 21 mai 2011 et j’ai même pu l’y jouer. C’était un peu difficile puisque j’étais un peu hors d’haleine, mais avec des petites pauses et jouant un peu plus vite que d’habitude, comme vous pouvez aussi lire dans un article choisi en annexe (en allemand) (il y en a plusieurs en ce moment-ci), ce projet a heureusement réussi. Je tiens à ce que vous apprenez cette bonne nouvelle, d’autant plus que sans vous et votre merveilleux cor, je n’aurais jamais pu profiter de cette aventure inoubliable. C’était la première fois qu’un homme ait pu jouer un cor à une telle hauteur. Quoi qu’il en soit, merci de votre très bon travail!
