World Record
On 21 May 2011, mountaineer Herbert Gielesberger climbed Everest and played the Alpenhorn at a world-record altitude of 8,850 metres!

Hello,
You may remember that an Austrian man of about 60 bought a horn from you earlier this year. The name was Herbert Gielesberger.
In any case, I took your horn to the summit of Mount Everest on 21 May 2011 and even got to play it there. It was a bit difficult because I was a bit out of breath, but with short breaks and playing a bit faster than usual, as you can also read in a selected article in the appendix (in German) (there are several at the moment), this project fortunately succeeded. I want you to hear this good news, especially as without you and your wonderful horn, I would never have been able to enjoy this unforgettable adventure. It was the first time that a man had been able to play a horn at such a high pitch. In any case, thank you for your excellent work!
