vor vier monaten habe ich bei ihnen das alphorn gekauft. [...]
ich war gestern bei sehr schönem wetter im avers. ich habe dann spontan gespielt, was bei den gästen sehr gut ankam.
ich habe sehr viel gelernt. das carbon alphorn klingt wunderschön und ist auch angenhem zum spielen. Ich übe jeden tag bis zu einer Stunde und mehr.
nochmals besten dank für ihre tolle bertreuung in ihrer fabrik. war etwas streng aber hat grossen spass gemacht.

Thank you so much for the lovely photo of your father which you sent me. I am extremely happy to have it. It sits in full view on a shelf in my study.
I thought you might like this photo (© Nicola Dell'Aquila) taken just over a week ago.
It was the inauguration of a new factory (Microform) for which my sculptor friend Paolo Albertelli from Turin had created the structure in the middle of the photo.

Dear Florence,
I have long wanted to send you some pictures. The past few months the Alphorn was travelling throug Andalusia and was probably played in places where alphorns has never been played before. I am so happy with it! And whenever I play, I think of your father. His invention is quite wonderful. (Of course, the snow picture is from today, back in Black Forest)
