Dear Florence Zanetti
I hope that you are well and that the Alpflyinghorn project continues to go from strength to strength.
I continue to play my Alpflyinghorn with much pleasure in many different contexts from solo to various sized groups.
Last year I wrote a short concerto for Alphorn and Wind Band which was performed in a town called Pont Canavese in the foothills of the alps north of Turin.
Last year I also performed 3 times in the very special environment of the colour and light sculpture “Colourscape” (see the photo).
For 4 years now I have been collaborating with the Italian environmental organisation Legambiente as part of their scientific project examining the state of the glaciers in the Italian mountains, and last year they asked me to be one of their cultural ambassadors.
This year I will be performing at the Trento Film Festival (the oldest international film festival dedicated to the mountains) in a new project with L’Orage, a folk-rolk group from the Aosta Valley in an event with various speakers including Luca Mercalli, Italy’s leading meteorologist, climatologist and science educator.

with very best wishes
